GASTONIA, N.C. -- A step inside the doors of Webb Custom Kitchen in Gastonia is a step back in time.

  • Webb Custom Kitchen is in the buliding of a movie theater built in 1927.
  • It is now a dining spot in Gastonia.
  • The signature dish is one of their aged steaks.

A movie theater built in 1927, it has been updated to a chic dining spot, combining the golden age of Hollywood with a modern swank.

It celebrates classic American film and classic American cuisine.

The signature dish? According to General Manager Aaron Samole, “20 ounces of deliciousness perfected marbled and served alongside some of our beautiful side items. Those aged steaks, they melt in your mouth!"

To complete the experience, you may want to ask for balcony seating!

"You get just the most wide-eyed disbelief of how beautiful the place has become and what we have done to this building to retain the beautiful old movie theatre ambiance,” said Samole.

It's dinner and a movie -- the old-fashioned way.
