CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Less than two years from the 21st Century’s rendition of the roaring '20s, one restaurant is embracing the style and feeling of speakeasies from a century back to bring a new experience to Charlotte.

  • Dot Dot Dot brings a new experience to Charlotte.
  • It is located in a basement at the Park Road Shopping Center.
  • Their focus is on high-end cocktails.

Dot Dot Dot is a prohibition-style bar which opened a year ago, turning an old basement in the Park Road Shopping Center into an intimate cocktail parlor.

“For 64 years it was the storage unit for the shopping center,” Stefan Huebner said.

There’s no television in Dot Dot Dot, very low lighting, and high hopes its artfully-crafted lounge removes distractions from any conversation.

“This isn’t like the bars on Montfort,” Huebner said. “This is an adult bar, for adults.”

The menu is made for a more personal dining experiences, with dishes designed to be shared -- but the focus is the high-end cocktails.

“In the hustle and bustle of staying on your phone and social media and the world we live in, sometimes you need to take a step back,” Huebner said.

There is a $10 membership fee for first time customers.
