If you love North Carolina BBQ, then R&R BBQ might want to be your next stop.
"There's all sorts of BBQ everywhere; we're the eastern style, so we use the vingear base dip," said Brons Hasty of R&R BBQ.
Hasty says it is hand-chopped and slow-cooked. "It cooks for probably sixteen hours," said Hasty.
For two decades, the restaurant has been providing a true taste of the south in Concord.
"The original was in Kannapolis, which was actually right on a railroad track," Hasty said.
The speciality is eastern style North Carolina barbeque, but that's not all.
"Chicken salad, potato salad, which I don't know if you find a lot at other places," said Hasty.
People of all ages like the homestyle Concord restaurant, including Gabriel, who is in the sixth grade.
"I have a special sauce of the vinegar hot sauce that I put on there, and that was my favorite to put on there, and it's real meaty and awesome," he said.
Gabriel has another favorite: he loves the restaurant's french fries.
"They're big and they have a bunch of potatoes in them. That's what makes them my favorite," said Gabriel.
Even some of NASCAR’s biggest names make a pit stop at R&R BBQ.
"I think Danica Patrick has been in here, I know Richard Petty has been in here a couple of times," said Hasty.
So, if you like some hometown BBQ, R&R BBQ might be the perfect stop for your tastebuds.
"We've been here so long, we're busy all the time, and people love us."
