A Halloween costume has many people scratching their heads and others downright outraged.

Halloweencostumes.com  released the holocaust victim Anne Frank costume and instantly folks were quick to criticize it calling it "horrifying" and "inappropriate."

The company quickly pulled it from their websites. The $24.99 outfit came with a blue button up dress, hat and bag to mimic a young girl during World War II.

Ross Walker Smith, a spokesperson from the website fun.com which runs the costume website, tweeted a statement saying in part "We take feedback from customers very seriously. We have passed along the feedback regarding the costume, and it has been removed dfrom the website at this time. We apologize for any offense it has caused, as that's never our intention."

Anne Frank is one of the most talked about victims of the Holocaust. Her diary was later published and it talks about her hiding from the Nazis during the war.
